Graham 101: "I Am So Getting Silvered... Good Thing I Am Not A Werewolf"

Di lahat nang nang nag-bo-blow ng candle...

Heya... Wooot Wooott... I got you with my title, haven't I???
This is not another Sci-Fi thingy and hoova-palooza again...
It's July and I am just turning 25-hence, silvered... (I need not to explain the connection of 25 and silver and silver and werewolves, right?)... I just want to get your attention and if you are reading this, I think I kinda succeeded. <wink>

Hopefully and dreamily, this would be the first of many 25 years in my life (actually maximum of 3 lang, I don't want to reach 100 naman tapos I am weak na... ok na yung sakto lang...)
I believe that turning 25 is one of life's greatest milestones and it should be non-the-less celebrated... (di naman kasi lahat sa atin umaabot ng ganitong age diba... RIP po sa mga tinamaan...)

Anyways, why oh why am I writing a birthday post a couple of weeks before my actual birthday on my birthday suit (joke lang...)???

Well, I have my reasons and if you want to know keep the scroll-downs coming and read between the silver linings (pero I'll make it very explicit, para sa mga medyo slow... wahahaha... alam na kung sinu-sino kayo)

Firstly and if my superiors and project schedules allow (please, sana po), I will not be online on my actual birthday. I will be going home to the grandeur of Silay City to celebrate with my closest kin... (wala kaming internet dun, providence kasi) So, I will accept pre and post online greetings starting today.

Next... since I will be turning 25, I want to be a changed man... (chos lang) With this, I decided to be a little more materialistic... wahahahaha (change for the worse pala, so much for my maturity)... Thus, here are the things I (or someone else) want to give to the future me, again if and only if I am financially and psychologically able.

Grand Vacations (more fun in the Philippines style); Palawan and Sagada topped this list.

Corgi... before I turn back to ashes... sana maka experience naman ako ng Corgi, kahit slight lang...

My own Coffee Shop/ BookShop; wouldn't it be lovely to drink your fave coffee mix while you indulge yourself to the fragrance of a newly opened paperback??? hmmmmmm

Rubbing-Elbows with the Stars; I hate to admit this, but I am a Fan and always have been... In fact my dream job is to be a PA to an Actor/Actress (yung super sikat) wahahahaha... just let me be...

Space; I want to have my own private space where I can personally design and organize... kahit maliit lang basta sa akin lang...

So far, yan lang naman ang gusto kong ma-achieve... very realistic naman diba??? wehehehehe

Lastly, the main purpose of this post is to remind my friends (uhuh, including you random stranger who happened to stumbled upon this post accidentally...) that the my day is fast approaching... to give them enough time to include me to their shopping list... to eliminate time and money related excuses of not giving me a gift... Yes, GIFTS, I am expecting, just so you know... wahahahaha
(So, sa hinabahaba nang sinabi ko... naghihingi lng pala ng regalo... lol)

Ay may Birthday...

Musickness: "Call Me Maybe - Corgi Song"

Hindi lahat nang nakalabas ang dila...

Corgi is my dream dog... Someday, if I am financially and Psychologically able, I will have my own Corgi (By hook or by Crook, whateva it may take...) <evil laugh>

So this parody of Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe starred by a Welsh Corgi is undoubtedly the absolute fave of mine... This is ultra cute-slash-superb-in-all-levels and makes all the other Call Me Maybe parodies pale as a brainwashed cadaver in comparison... (eeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww)

See the Petody (Pet Parody) below...
Warning: Cuteness Overdose can give heartburns... well slight lang naman...

Graham 101 : "If I Were Not Me, Would I Befriend Myself???"

Hindi lahat nang sumisisid...
Just a wild question: "If you are not you... would you be friends with yourself???"

Tricky-icky question right??? Imagine this... just like a classic straight from a science-fiction movie fused in with mystery-ish-rom-com plot, somehow, someway, with the aid of technology... you were extracted from yourself and become a different person but the original you still exists...

Did anyone got it??? Yah, me neither.. wahahahaha... To make everything sound simpler... it's like piracy... uhuh and now, we are on the same page...

Going back to our supposed-wild question... would you be friends with yourself or would you even like you if you are on third party, non subjective view of yourself???

Hmmmm... tough to answer, right??? Well, here's my guide questions (and my answers) unto finding if you are likable on your own terms...

1. Do you like how you look???
Well, technically speaking, hmmmmm... I don't... wahahahaha... I mean, if I would see myself as another person on the same room with a large pool of people... I would not even notice me... That's how plain I am... Aside from being in the slightly heavier side, there is nothing outstanding about me...

2. Are you good at first-impressions???
First impression is not my strongest suit. For the very least, it is safe to say that I suck at this part. I am quite timid and quiet on the first few encounters (magic words- first few, wehehehe)... I tend not to shine and be as sunny as I can be when I am subjected to new species, so I just tend to blend in and stoop low. What they do not know, is that just I am gaining my momentum and before anyone knows it, I already dominate most of the conversations.

3. Look at your current circle... do you think you belong???
Apples to Apples, Oranges to Oranges and Birds of the same Feathers are too cliche per say. I think what good friends effects to you is to complement your flaws and enhance your positive aura... Although, it pains me to say this... I think I belong... wahahahaha

4. Can you tolerate your bad traits???
Hmmmm... I don't think I can... For the very least, I could maybe tolerate me... but to live up with it, I don't think I can handle myself at my worst. For one, I am impatient... my waiting time is strictly and religiously 1 hour. More than that, I vigorously bail out. I am also a great snob, I do not usually approach people I am not close too. If someone has a bad eye on me, I most often return the favor. I sometimes put people into awkward situations and leave them to live with it... Ok, I'll stop there... I could no longer spill all of my undesirable sides... just yet.

5. Would you tell yourself your secrets???
As shocking as this may sound, I will... This may sound a little off for me because I'm loud and mostly than always tacky, I sure can keep a good secret hidden for lifetime. Yup, as long as we are in agreement that it's a secret that should be kept... and hell yes, there are secrets that are meant to stink almost immediately. IYKWIM

6. Do you think you are fun to be with???
Non-arguably, I believe I do... Anyone who goes against this, is not my friend <period>

7. Are you friendly???
One big "NO"... I choose my friends and I choose well... If you want to be my friend, approach me first. It would take another apocalypse for me to make the first move... We could all wait in vain if you want to, but I ain't moving a muscle...

As my imminent conclusion, I think if ever this would happen... me and my other self would not be friends. We could even be mortal enemies, if the angels forbid... A battle of lexical terms and defiant comebacks between me and I would be super epic... lol

Thus, I say kudos to my friends who befriended and still befriending me. It's an ultra noble thing to do... Even I, can't do it.... XOXO

So to the other Jeffrey...

"Back off, you filthy bastard "
.... ohh how I would love to say that directly to my face!!!

Graham 101 : "Spitting Fire"

Hindi lahat nang pinagpapawisan...

A few weeks back, I read my (not-so-called) office friend's blog post about 20 things you want to say (but cannot -upfront) to a certain someone, anonymously... T'was kinda intriguing and mystery-ish that I started conceptualizing my own version within my astral-projected virtual reality...

But, then I thought... this is not for me... I mean, I always speak my mind but I mindfully choose my words... I almost-always try not to hurt anyone and anything in the process (well, sort-of)... In the process, anything that I wanted to say to pips within my circle was already said and communicated accordingly...

So instead of saying mushy ,cheesy and half-melodramatic quoted cliches, I decided that this would be a great medium for me to release my unmasked angsts, un-emitted condemnations and unsolicited dis-approvals to merely insignificant entities...

Plus, confrontation is not really my thing...anyways, let the spitfire begin...

1. Hindi ka Gwapo. So, don'tact like one. As matter of fact, Pangit ka... Act your look!

2. Faces like mine do not make friends to Faces like yours... back off!

3. May powers ka alam mo ba yun... di nga lang kaaya-aya...

4. How do you do it??? Making me uncomfortable with everything you do... and not in a very nice way...

5. Hindi ko sinabi na "Huwag kang Kumanta"... All I want is "Kumanta ka sa tono"... simple lang di ba???

6. Ever heard of the term Personal Private Space? Well, my wild guess is you haven't... because you are invading mine...

7. Your Maturity does not comes with your age, high school lang teh???...

8. Being 'funny" is not imposed it is being earned... so please stop that senselessness...

9. There is something wrong with the water you (plural) use... You (plural, still) have a smell and it is not effin' pleasant...

10. You do not own this place... well metaphorically maybe you do... still, you should not act as if you do... step down a little bit...

11. Don't give me that look... I know that look. I used to give that look all the time way back when I was not nicer... Just stop looking at me if you don't like what you see...

12. Using kinder words won't hurt you... you know that, right?

13. Everybody knows it and respected it... so don't go around the room thinking your the only one who knows it yet does not respect it...

14. Please notice that when you talk, walang nakikinig sa'yo... zip it, nobody is interested...

15. Don't put anyone to an awkward position... those below the belt tirades are so uncalled for...

16. Ehem... Guess what??? Hindi ikaw ang bida sa series na ito... In fact, if all else fails, pang 'taong bayan role' ka lang... so, don't go green eyes on me if I always steal the show.

17. Putting someone down does not make you look beautiful... wala ka nang igaganda pa...

18. Yes or No questions should be answered be either Yes or No... Pa Mr. Know it all pa kasi...

19. Sabi sa 'yo eh... 'wag kang masyadong social climber... Mukha ka na ngang unggoy, social climber pa... ano, redundant lang???

20. Stop playing with my friends... eventhough they quite enjoy it... still, stop it...

That'a all...BOW

Musickness: "1D Parody Song"

Hindi lahat ng may Boyfriend...
Don't get me wrong 1D fans...

I have nothing against this hyped British/X-Factor-Alumni/Boyband group...

As a matter of fact their songs are on my exclusive and elusive playlist for weeks now and still playing...

But Key of Awesome's Parody of One Directions' MV "What Makes You Beautiful" is super HIGH-larious to the maximum level...

I mean, I was laughing to my heart's content the first time I watched the video...

Here it is and please do enjoy...

Also, posted is the Original MV for any unsolicited non-critical and semi-personal comparison... wehehehhe

Scratch POP: Anne Curtis on ANTM c/o Francis Libiran

Hindi Lahat ng Bawal...

Super Good News...

Pinoy Pride on a rampage...

Just in... Ms. Anne Curtis will be featured on ANTM cycle 18.
I really do not know how she will appear on the show, but just knowing this makes me go nuts.

Thanks to the very talented Francis Libiran whose designs will be spotlighted on the show.
I have seen few works of Francis Libiran through Macherie (a blogger acquaintance)... and I must say, his creations are spectacular, stunning and exquisite...
I may not be fashion-savvy but Francis Libiran's gowns are out-of-this world perfect... he could incorporate structured design-patterns with a mixture of softness and stiffness without being commercially awkward...
(do you get what I mean???... well, me neither...) wahahahhaha

Anyways, here's Ms. Anne on FL's Gowns... (hold your horses)

The first one is my personal fave...

Check out the pseudo-documentary of the photoshoot below...

But, I could only wish...

Anyways... enjoy the video below...

Ohh.. before I forget... Sarah G. And Gege sang this year's tag-init theme song... HOT!!!

Book Arrows: " The Hunger Games: Team Peeta"

"may the odds be..."

I have read and finished "The Hunger Games"...

Uhuh.. uhuh... It does not sound like me, right???....
Being a certified all-Filipino book reader, this a big leap of fate for me... hence, my first ever Book Review and in honor of THG I would call this segment "Book Arrows"... eeeeeeeee

I really do not know the reason behind I instantly had the urge to read it... maybe because of the hype and the buzz about the movie (which I promptly watched and super liked...)... maybe I'm too excited to know what will happen to Katniss and Peeta's pseudo-romance - of course, I'm team Peeta, if there was one... or maybe I just want to live my self-inducted title as a Popularist... or maybe...  just maybe

Anyways, as the book who took away my innocence in modern English-literature, I pretty much enjoyed the experience and breezed through it with relative ease... Suzanne Collins instantaneously occupied a special space in my heart. She portrayed each scenes with distinctive clarity and vividly described every moment in the book (maybe watching the movie first did a little help)...  Her choice of words is simple, direct yet non-committal... I need not to dig deep within the bowels of my lexical asylum to understand what she meant... and the first person narration and single perspective of Katniss made the transitions and turn-arounds more smooth and unforced... all-in-all this Book is definitely an A-list on my own standards...

Going to the more serious issue... I am Team Peeta all the way...
I mean, I feel for Peeta... he did not pretend-  not for the show, not for his survival... He did it all for love and love alone... And, he did tried his best to save Katniss in his own ways... even sacrificing himself in more ways than one... so he deserve his happy ending no matter what...

And the kiss (kisses in the book)... it was sort of his life line... and finding Katniss did not meant it (or denying the true meaning of it) is like being killed in the Arena with a thousand muttations, thrice... that could break a heart of stone into pieces...

In the book, Katniss has more detailed romantic and emotionally confused adventures with Peeta than with Gale... Sure, Gale and Katniss were childhood friends but my limited imagination could not comprehend what history could they have... For a book, details literally makes the difference of who is who... the author would not waste that number of pages for nothing, 'em I right???

This is for other team Peeta members... exclusively... courtesy of tumblr...
Just between the two of us... I am secretly going through the second book... Ssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhh... wehehehehehe...
I can't help myself... this last line from Book 1 had me flipping...
"I take his hand, holding on tightly, preparing for the cameras,
and dreading the moment when I will finally have to let go. "
Oh... and my rating.... half an arrow...
"ever in your favor..."

Eye Faucet : "Masking with Laughter"

That's the way...

Lately... I am having a hard time...
It does not show right... but really, I am...

My Family is going through our biggest hump...yet... but we are hanging on...
... and together, I know we can see through this...
I have friends that are sad for reasons I cannot disclose...
and as petty as it sounds... Operation Proposal is on a very dramatic turn this week...

Well... I guess that's life...
It gives us pricks and thorns to remind us that not everything is made out of rainbows and unicorns...

Instead of succumbing myself to the darkness, I expose myself to happy thoughts and laughter...
And.. to all of those who are going through the same tough phase like me... enjoy this laughficine (laughter+medicine) vids...

First on my laughficine collection is Vice Ganda...
Wooohoooo... I really enjoyed this episode of GGV... Karla Estrada is high-larious....

Second and second to the last is Uge and her acceptance speech on the 6th Asian Awards... Eugene is unparalleled... score lang ng score

Lastly, is Jon Santos as Miriam... a copycat at its finest.

This made my day... hope it made yours too...

...Uhuh... Uhuh... I like it...

Boredom Assassin: "Padamihan Game"

Sue...

"Padamihan Game"... have you ever heard of it??? played it??? enjoyed it???
Well.. if you haven't... your missing the biggest Uhmphh of your mortalized existence...

One of college friends introduced this game to us (our college group) way back in our (of course) college days... and we pretty much enjoyed this game that up until now whenever we have an opportunity we still indulge ourselves to this game...

I thoroughly love this game that I decided to introduce it to my so-called office friends... and guess what we made a living out of it... We play it on almost all available chances we got... breakfast, lunch, lobby, elevator, production area, laboratory, smoking area.... just anywhere and anytime... (di kami masyadong choosy...)

Anyways, I'll just try explain the game and its mechanics...

First... you and your group should choose a category...
... For beginners, you can start with flowers, animals, country, elements... you can go creative as the game progress within your own group... our group's most creative category yet are love triangles, lahat ng pinapasukan ng kamay, game shows... and more...

Then the game begins... one person on your group will give his first answer, the person next to him, next and next...until it goes back to the first person... its like a CYCLE...
... Lets say your category is the periodic table of elements... the first person can say Oxygen... the next one can say Hydrogen.... and so on and so forth...

You can go clockwise, counter clockwise or any sequence your group wants as long as all of you agree with it...

Of course NO repetition of answers and to add pressure, you can have a time limit... the snappiness makes the game more mentally challenging...
...on our group we usually have 2 strikes before you are out of the game... and once your out you can help out your BFF in winning the game...

It's like a last man standing game... the one with the most examples on the specific category will have the bragging rights...

Most of the mini-rules within the game is group-specific... it means you can make your own rules as long as the majority wins... this also applies on deciding if the answer is acceptable or not...

This is a mentally and physically exhausting game... so be warned... On your most creative categories, I'm so sure you will have the best laughs of your life... you will also experience a pseudo adrenaline rush, time by time... not to mention flash backs and realizations...

Note... this is just a game... so don't get your self screwing everybody just to win... just enjoy and be happy....

Tissue...

Scratch POP: Proposal Daisakusen vs. Operation Proposal

Hellujah... Chance!!!

Remember the smash hit J-Durama series Proposal Daisakusen in 2007???
If you don't or if you have not seen it yet, I am telling you... you missing an f***ing half of your life...
I mean, atleast for me, it is maybe one of the most well-made Asian series of all time... even better than Meteor Garden by a clear mile...
With its perfect mix of romance-fantasy-comedy and relate-ability, what's not to like???

Anyways, wonderin' why am I blabbing and promoting this series after almost half a decade???
Hmmmm... I just found out that Korea is having a remake of this uber-fave series...
Well, well, well... skeptically, I was not so sure if the the Korean remake will stand up to my expectations. I mean... it was sky high, so a tough call. But.. nevertheless, curious enough, I search the K-series online and found this credible YouTube channel (itzmethatzkie) that uploads this series with very readable and lexical english sub... good for me...
And, to my surprise, I actually liked it (a lot)... maybe because they have the same plot or what... I dunno? but I definitely liked it...

Then, I asked myself... which of the two I liked better??? Well, because I am a detail maniac, I have to weigh things through different lights and angles...
Disclaimer: The following thoughts are exclusively mine and mine alone. Whateva similarities represented from others maybe purely coincidental or just a result om wide depicted imagination. wooohoooo

Story: Proposal Daisakusen has a more fast-paced story... more of like direct to the point. Most of the episode focuses only to Ken and Rei (the main protagonist and antagonist). On the other hand, operation Proposal's pacing is slower, more of like taking their time. Although its main gist is still the second-chance love story of Kang Bae Ho and Ham Yi Seul (Ken and Rei's Korean counterpart, respectively), it is more like a baseball-ish story... the sports which most of the characters are connected to.

Casts: This would be quick... Kang Bae Ho is so much cuter than Ken. Rei is way prettier than Ham Yi Seul... I liked Tsuru and Erin in the Japanese version in more ways than one compared to their Korean versions... and... I liked the Korean's version of other male friend... <period>

Chant: I like saying " Hallelujah Chance (with the hand movement)... Wahhhhhh!!!" so much more more more... than "Renovatio, renovatio, renovatio!" Whatyathink???

Well... that's all I think of....for now... atleast....

The Operation Proposal is not finished yet... but I'm closely monitoring it... If you want to experience it too, watch the first episode below... and you'll surely get hooked... no doubt...

And... and... and...if you happen to be a close friend of mine and if you want to see the Japanese series-Proposal Daisakusen (very soon: as recommended) kindly approach me and I would gladly give you a copy...

Renovatio... Renovatio... Renovatio...

Caption This: With Me. It's more fun in the Philippines

"Tara na..."

DOT just launched our country's new tourism slogan "It's more fun in the Philippines" and with just the blink of an eye (or eyes, kung plural...) a momentous craze hit the internet world.

Fun-filled and amazing photos popped like mushrooms in an old oak tree graced the net. Ofcourse, as a self-proclaimed popularist (also with the influence of A-my blogging guru), I would not miss this chance to include myself in this virtual commotion.

Have I mentioned I'm not good in photo editing??? Well, maybe not.... With this self-shortage, I asked A to do editing for me... And, because she believed that she is an obedient friend (which non of us (her friends) agreed, by far), she indifferently obliged.

Surprise, surprise, surprise for me... I just realized that last year was a busy year for me. Maybe I was just living out a dream to atleast explore Philippines' finest because I was on vacation on every slim chance I got. Good for me, bad for my savings account... wahahahhaha...

Without anymore superficializing (watta word...) this post... here's my little contribution... hopialykit...

Remember my Vhegan-Lawag-Paggodfood adventure???

How about our hoax-end-of-the-world Pinatubo March???

Who can forget my (still unfinished) investigative blog-series in Baguio?

And just recently... my Yadu-experience...

I really, really think it's fun in the Philippines... but with me around, it's definitely seven-folds funnier... agree???

pre-Movie Bullet: Unofficially Yours

"How can I..."

Wahhhhh... It has been a very long time since my last post...

To my countful-not-so-avid-followers: "I'am Sorry..NOh"

It is just that I'm so caught up with work(online and offline) and stuffs that my treasure box of English vocabularies actually run out... can you imagine???

I was not planning to post a blog yet but this one is so-much worth it that I have to go wake out from my long hibernation in blogging...

It is the new movie offering of Star Cinema for the apocalyptic year 2012... Am not so sure when it will be out in cinemas yet but still this is so exciting...

Unofficially Yours stars two of the most sought after artists of their generation.. no other than... John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin...

Fresh from their first-ever-successful TV team up in Imortal, seems like their fans can't get enough of them that the management actually worked out a movie for them (good for us)...

It is a friends-with-benefit-ish or no-strings-attached-ish kind of plot (which is a non-typical for conservative Filipinos, btw)  but knowing Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina (close???), I know this is super likable...

I super can't wait...

Watch the trailer after you scream your lungs out...
